The Ultimo Science Festival, near Central Railway and Broadway in Sydney, NSW, is ten days and nights of serious science fun for families, for schools, for young, old and in-between, for geeks and non-geeks. There’s something for anyone who wants to expand their mind, think about the world and wonder about how stuff works and why it is so. The Ultimo Science Festival is proudly presented by the Powerhouse Museum, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, The University of Technology Sydney and TAFE NSW. It is supported by the Australian Government and the City of Sydney. The Festival will showcase the considerable scientific credentials of these four organisations that created it, bringing together scientific research, technology, engineering, design, education, communication and entertainment for ten awesome days and nights. Most events are free and held all along Harris St, Ultimo over the ten days of the festival, from Friday August 22 through to Sunday August 31, 2007. The festival events are an easy stroll from Central train station, buses and the Light Rail.
