The fifth Ultimo Science Festival bursts into life from 16 to 29 August 2010 with day and night events, school sessions, family & kids events, talks and forums for everyone. It's not just for geeks, scientists and students (though they'll be there...) it's for everybody!
The Ultimo Science Festival offers an amazing range of things to hear, see and do in National Science Week, along Harris St in Ultimo, 5 minutes walk from Sydney's Central Railway and most events are free.
The Ultimo Science Festival is supported by the Australian Government and the City of Sydney. It's an important event in the National Science Week calendar.

Take an exclusive peek at the extraordinary depth and breadth of the Museum’s collection. See some amazing objects which are not on view to the general public. There’s a treasure trove of scientific and technological instruments alongside historically and culturally significant objects and curios. Each object has a fascinating story which will be revealed by your guide – one of the Museum’s deeply knowledgeable specialist curators.
Please note: tours only recommended for 14 years and over.

Installation: Face Two Face
Merging 3D scanning technology and rapid prototyping. Come and offer your face for scanning, then watch as a robot carves your likeness into a polystyrene wall. When you leave the Museum your image will remain, forming a wall of science lovers.

Maths Comedy – Planet of the Primes!
Join maths comedian Simon Pampena on the Planet of the Primes – the fantastical adventures of a space hero who uses comedy to explore the Universe of Maths. Suitable for ages 7 and up.
When: Saturday 28 August; 11am and 2pm
